Skills and the Entrepreneur: Chapter 2

I will be investigating and studying Bill Gates as a successful entrepreneur, because I find that he has a very interesting back ground. An entrepreneur is an individual with a decision who is able to see and capitalise on opportunities in the market. He has a distinct personality that has prevailed due to his persistence against odds in many cases. I feel that Bill Gates was ahead of his time with rare innovative ideas, and an ambitions ethical vision for society. I will investigate the business that Bill gates owns. The name of this firm is Micro Soft Plc.  This firm was the result of bill gates major strength which was found in his vision. He knew where he wanted to be in the future and made decisions on how he was going to get there. For him to achieve his dream and goals he had to conduct planning which then involved organising how he was to achieve his vision. Within his firm Bill Gates has ensured that his firm strives on effective communication. This is the ability to deliver clear messages of data across the international conglomerate. Bill Gates firm has managed to utilise the concept of factors of production.

Bill Gates is an American Entrepreneur, and chairman of Microsoft, the software company, he founded the firm with his friend Paul Allen. He and Paul Allen started the soft ware company Microsoft. However, he now owns 8% of the business but that 8% is still worth over 50 thousand million. His approach his approach to risk taking is that he saw an opportunity and did something about it; he took the risk and solved any problems that occurred to him. For example, the fact that he was willing to take a risk with Paul Allen and started up the business when it could have failed any that cold have made them loss money. This entrepreneur has a positive attitude to his business as he believed that the business in to stocks and shares. He has also used problem solving skills when he started up the business there was a high chance of encountering problems and in the fact that now other computer programs have come on the market and they forever have to keep up with the new technology that is coming out, or face that another company will over take them and they will lose clients and profit. This person is able to adapt the fact he has to constantly keep up with technology and allowing his company to remain flexible and growth oriented.

Bill Gates is creative by the fact that you he has made his firm successful in an innovative way. He has the drive to succeed in the fact that he saw an opportunity and went for it and the business is still successful today so he has already succeeded and still has the drive to succeed further

Bill Gates is an entrepreneur this is slightly different from being a leader in comparison to Carnegie and Disney. Bill Gates has all the qualities of a leader but also has motivation which is the ability to have drive and ambition and the ability to transfer that to others.
